I'm currently a student at Greenville College. I'll be graduating in the spring of 2012 with a B.S. in Digital Media with an emphasis in Graphic Arts and a minor in Business. I love creating images and art that captures emotion, excitement, and the joys of life all around me! As an artist, it is my job to capture a single moment in one snapshot to preserve it for generations to come!
About one year ago I was "required" to take a Digital Photography class for my major. I wasn't too thrilled about it because in high school I took photography and my pictures were flat out terrible!!! I went in to class with an open-minded attitude to try and give it my best shot. To my surprise, my teacher believed in my work and really encouraged me to share it with friends and family. I have started small because I am still in the process of learning the technical aspects of photography, but I have developed a love of photography and am constantly trying to test the limits. I recently started taking my photos and editing them in Photoshop to add a little flare, and I impressed myself with how much a little editing can change the whole presence of the photograph.
This blog features some of the work I have done over the past few months and it is exciting to see how I am continuing to grow and how God is blessing me with a wide variety of talents, I had no idea even existed! The photos are from the places I have traveled and the friends and family members that mean the world to me!
A recent addition to this blog captures my newest adventures. Australia. I have had the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program for the Spring semester of 2011 in Sydney, Australia. I look forward to the adventures soon to come and will try my best to post about my experiences down under.
